With the advent of globalization, the technological arena is reaching new heights. Moreover, technological development has, in turn, made our life quite simple and easy. But in the process, the complexities of life has increased to a great level. Furthermore, the level of competition in society is also increasing with each passing day. In such a situation, we find ourselves as participants of the race. Each one of us is competing for something or the other. While someone is chasing behind money, some others are chasing behind the fame. In short, in this technological and globalized world, each one of us is in a race against reality.
The Reasons Behind The Race Against Reality
If put in simple words, we can say that reality is a harsh truth. However, in some instances, it also tends to be a dream that we want to achieve. In this complicated life, we hardly have time for anything. Children neglect their parents and parents neglect their children. Marriages are breaking. All of these are the harsh reality that we face today. We find ourselves in a race against reality. Be it the rich or the poor each one us will find ourselves in a race against reality.
The Ongoing Scenario In Race Against Reality
We all have specific aspirations and dreams that we want to achieve. Moreover, we even try our best to achieve those dreams with the best of our hard work and determinations. But life holds many unexpected turns for us. Many a time, we fail to meet these aspirations and dreams that make us feel alive. Now, that is when the actual race against reality starts to take place. Many of us find it hard to accept the truth. We find it hard to accept our failure. In such a case, we start running away from reality. We fear to face the fact that we have failed in fulfilling our aspirations. But we forget that in this race against reality, we will be the ones who will lose the race.
The Actual Societal Scenario
The society consists of both the rich and the poor class. Furthermore, now it even has a third category as well – the middle class. Even these three sections of society are always in a constant race against reality. The rich have lots of money, so much that they find it hard to spend them. But they do not have the peace of mind.
Moreover, they even fail to have a fulfilling life as well due to fear of losing their status. But they will never accept reality. While on the other hands though the poor have peace but lacks status. Furthermore, they even lack a standard way of life as well. But rather than facing reality they will also choose to run away from it. The same applies in the case of the middle class as well. They have money but want fame. Even after repeated hard work and dedication, they fail to achieve it. At the end of the day, they too find themselves in a race against the reality that they cannot win.
